There are many issues in Islam which apparently are not a hurdle in becoming a practical Muslim. However, due to advancement in communication technology, it has become easy to spread wrong or right information at a vast scale. This loop hole is causing great damage to faith of many believers. It is also damaging the solidarity of Muslim community at large scale. One of such issues is the punishment in grave (Azab ul Qabr). There are different opinions on this issue circulating among the public and each group is trying to prove its opinion the best. If it was confined to debate only then it was nothing to worry about. However, an issue gets serious when opponents in opinion on a certain issue start doubting the faith of each other. In this booklet it’s tried to compile the authentic teachings of Islam with reference to Quran and Sunnah which are the basic source of jurisprudence. وَلَقَدْ صَرَّفْنَا فِي هَٰذَا الْقُرْآنِ لِلنَّاسِ مِن كُلِّ مَثَلٍ ۚ وَكَانَ الْإِنسَانُ أَكْثَرَ شَيْءٍ جَدَلًا - 18:54 “And verily We have displayed for mankind in this Qur'an all manner of similitude, but man is more than anything contentious.” Al-Kahaf 18:54 Another verse of Surah Bani-Israel mentions this attitude of some people in the following words. وَلَقَدْ صَرَّفْنَا لِلنَّاسِ فِي هَٰذَا الْقُرْآنِ مِن كُلِّ مَثَلٍ فَأَبَىٰ أَكْثَرُ النَّاسِ إِلَّا كُفُورًا - 17:89 “And We have certainly diversified for the people in this Qur'an from every [kind] of example, but most of the people refused [anything] except disbelief.” Bani-Israel 17:89 The following verse of Surah An-Nahl is an eye opener for all those who don’t want to explore and learn Quran for a complete understanding and to implement its commandments. Allah- The Most Gracious is declaring through this verse that Quran is revealed to clarify all things and is a (complete) guidance. وَيَوْمَ نَبْعَثُ فِي كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ شَهِيدًا عَلَيْهِم مِّنْ أَنفُسِهِمْ ۖ وَجِئْنَا بِكَ شَهِيدًا عَلَىٰ هَٰؤُلَاءِ ۚ وَنَزَّلْنَا عَلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ تِبْيَانًا لِّكُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةً وَبُشْرَىٰ لِلْمُسْلِمِينَ - 16:89 And [mention] the Day when We will resurrect among every nation a witness over them from themselves. And We will bring you, [O Muhammad], as a witness over your nation. And We have sent down to you the Book as clarification for all things and as guidance and mercy and good tidings for the Muslims. An-Nahl 16:89 In this booklet Arabic text of the Quran is also given to get a better understanding of the verses. Many words of Quran are unique and translation doesn’t suffice the meanings they deserve. It is tried to avoid any mistake in compiling this booklet. However, pointing out any genuine mistake is welcomed.
